HTTPS protects connections between visitors and your site when the certificate is valid and correctly configured. cPanel hosts may offer SSL/TLS Status or an AutoSSL interface, but providers control which tools and certificate services are available.
Check the domain
- Sign in to cPanel and look for SSL/TLS Status or your provider’s SSL tool.
- Find the exact domain and review whether it is included and whether the interface reports an issue.
- Load the site using
https://in a browser and check for a secure connection indicator and certificate warning. - Check the www and non-www versions if both are intended to work.
If there is a certificate warning
Do not ask visitors to bypass browser warnings. Confirm the domain’s DNS points where your provider expects and that the certificate covers the hostname. Contact your host with the domain and the browser error text. They can tell you whether AutoSSL is enabled and whether a DNS or account issue blocks issuance.
Do not paste private keys into support chat. A certificate’s public details are not the same as its private key.
